Collect every photo of the Polterabend in one gallery

One QR code at the entrance collects the first shard, the sweeping and the late-night stories in one private gallery for the couple.

Broken pieces of floral-patterned porcelain on a concrete floorUploaded by 31 guests · Smashing porcelain
01Made for a loud, spontaneous evening

Guests scan once and upload from the browser, with no app and no need to ask twice. It works as well in the garden as in the hall.

02Photos from guests the wedding photographer never meets

Neighbors, colleagues and old friends who are only invited to the Polterabend show up in the gallery too.

03Private despite an open guest list

The gallery is only reachable through your link, even if half the street was there.

Event plan

From the first shard to the last sweep

The Polterabend is the German pre-wedding party: friends, neighbors and relatives smash porcelain for luck, and the couple sweeps up the pieces together. It is loud, spontaneous and rarely photographed by a professional, so the photos live on the guests’ phones.

  1. 01Put a sign at the entrance

Set up a sign with the QR code where guests drop off their porcelain. Everyone passes it, including the neighbors who just drop by.

  2. 02Catch the smashing from several sides

The throw itself lasts seconds. Ask a few friends to film from different sides, so the couple has the moment from several angles.

  3. 03Add the sweeping and the games

Prompts like “the couple sweeping together” or “the best throw of the evening” turn the games and the clean-up into photos the couple will want later.

  4. 04Carry it on to the wedding

Polterabend guests are often not invited to the wedding. Switch on the guest gallery so they can look back at the night, and bring the best clips to the wedding as a slideshow.

How it works

Set up once. Runs all night.

Set it up before the first glass is raised. The gallery fills while the party is still going, and every file is waiting for you the morning after.

Polterabend questions

Asked by hosts before the evening.

Is it the same gallery as the wedding?

No. Create a separate event for the Polterabend, so its photos do not mix with the ceremony and the reception. Each event can be exported on its own.

Does it work outdoors in the dark?

Guests only need a phone with a mobile connection, because the upload runs in the browser. If reception is poor, they can upload the next day while uploads are still open.

Can neighbors who just drop by take part?

Yes. Anyone you give the link or QR code to can upload, so a sign at the entrance reaches everyone who comes by. Only people with the link can open the gallery, though.

Can we collect videos of the smashing?

Yes. Videos can be up to 250 MB each and upload in full quality, exactly as they were filmed.

How long do guests have to upload?

Uploads stay open for 28 days after the last upload, so late photos still arrive. You can close uploads earlier whenever you like.

What does it cost?

Creating the event is free and includes the first 20 uploads. One payment per event unlocks unlimited guests and uploads, with no subscription.
