Formats

A table card, a welcome sign and a poster

  1. 01Table card

One card per table, next to the menu or the centrepiece. It scans from arm’s length.

  2. 02Welcome sign

For an easel at the entrance, with your names, the date and a large QR code. It scans from a step back.

  3. 03Poster

The largest QR code, with three short steps. For a wall, a door or the bar. It scans from two metres away.

Printing

Four things that decide whether the sign scans

Print at actual size

Choose 100% or “Actual size” in the print dialog. “Fit to page” shrinks the QR code and can leave uneven margins.

Test before you print the rest

Scan the first printout with two different phones, from the distance guests will stand. Then print the rest.

Mind the edges

Home printers cannot print to the edge of the paper, so a coloured background gets a white border. A print shop can print to the edge, or you can trim and frame the sign.

Keep it matte

Matte paper avoids glare under spotlights and candles, which can make a QR code unreadable.

Questions

About the QR sign generator

Is the QR sign generator free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on downloads. The sign is made on your device, and you print it wherever you like.

What does the QR code link to?

Either Reverie’s sign-up page, or any web address you enter, such as a Reverie guest link, a shared album, a Google Drive folder or your wedding website. The code holds that address and nothing else.

Are my names and link uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is made in your browser, so your names, date and link stay on your device. If you allow analytics, we count that a download happened, together with the design and format you chose, and never what you typed.

How big should the QR code be?

A QR code scans from about ten times its width. The table card’s code works at arm’s length, the welcome sign’s from a step back and the poster’s from two metres.

Does the QR code expire?

No. The code only holds the web address you entered, so it keeps working for as long as that address does.
